Take a closer look at each of our 18 holes with flyover footage and Pro tips.

 Hole 1

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 16 7
Blue 352
White 347 347
Red 347 347

hole01

Pro Tip: Straightaway par 4; easy starting hole if you keep your tee ball in play. The elevated first tee allows every player to gain a few extra yards on their opening tee shot. A reasonable tee shot will leave you with a short iron into a mildly sloped green protected by a bunker.

 Hole 2

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 4 1
Blue 406
White 394 394
Red 348 348

hole01

Pro Tip: The tough second hole shows how difficult Selkirk G & CC can play. Leaving your second shot just short or on the front of the green, gives you the best chance to make a par.

 Hole 3

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 10 9
Blue 375
White 368 368
Red 346 346

hole01

Pro Tip: A well placed tee shot of about 230 yds up the left hand side of the fairway allows you the best chance to get on this green in regulation.

 Hole 4

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 8 5
Blue 350
White 342 342
Red 325 325

hole04

Pro Tip: A 190 yd drive at the mound in the middle of the fairway, sets up best for the difficult approach over a bunker just in front of the green.

 Hole 5

man woman
Par 3 3
HCP 12 17
Blue 162
White 151 151
Red 141 141

hole05

Pro Tip: The first of Selkirk’s beautiful par threes. This hole requires an accurate iron shot. It is best to keep your ball below the hole on this difficult green.

 Hole 6

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 18 13
Blue 353
White 339 339
Red 310 310

hole06

Pro Tip: A hidden bunker 270 yds off the tee protects this short par four from the longer hitters.

 Hole 7

man woman
Par 3 3
HCP 6 15
Blue 213
White 204 204
Red 156 156

hole07

Pro Tip: This very difficult par 3 hole will generally play against the wind resulting in difficult club selection. Hitting the green with your tee shot does not guarantee a par due to the fact that this green is two-tiered with many undulations.

 Hole 8

man woman
Par 5 5
HCP 14 11
Blue 522
White 508 508
Red 481 481

hole08

Pro Tip: This long par 5 is protected by out of bounds down the entire right side of the fairway and trees down the left side of the hole. This hole is extremely difficult to hit in two with a well-placed tree on the left hand side of the fairway protecting the green. This par 5 is not an easy birdie opportunity.

 Hole 9

man woman
Par 4 4/5
HCP 2 3
Blue 424
White 404 404
Red 379 379

hole09

Pro Tip: A difficult par four with out of bounds down the right and trees up the left. Even the best player will breathe a sigh of relief if they walk away with a par.

 Hole 10

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 9 8
Blue 379
White 369 369
Red 359 359

hole10

Pro Tip: A very generous fairway allows players to loosen up their backs on this tee shot. Be cautious of the sand trap short and left, it is deep and tough to get out close to the hole.

 Hole 11

man woman
Par 4 5
HCP 1 14
Blue 411
White 403 403
Red 395 395

hole11

Pro Tip: A long dog leg left par four with a well placed bunker protecting the green. Do not get upset if you lose a stroke or two to par on this hole!

 Hole 12

man woman
Par 3 3
HCP 17 18
Blue 168
White 155 155
Red 140 140

hole12

Pro Tip: A scenic par three that yields some birdies. It is best to putt from below the hole on this tricky green.

 Hole 13

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 13 10
Blue 338
White 323 323
Red 308 308

hole13

Pro Tip: A tough tee shot for the average player, makes this shortish par four play tougher than it looks. Look for the new pond in 2008.

 Hole 14

man woman
Par 5 5
HCP 3 6
Blue 547
White 532 532
Red 467 467

hole14

Pro Tip: The first of back to back par fives. This hole can be reached in two by the longest hitters with a drive up the left hand side. If you hit it in the trees on the right the best play is to chip out straight side ways!

 Hole 15

man woman
Par 5 5
HCP 5 2
Blue 572
White 565 565
Red 489 489

hole15

Pro Tip: This second consecutive par five is long and quite often into the wind. Be patient and trust your wedge game to try and make a birdie.

 Hole 16

man woman
Par 3 3
HCP 11 16
Blue 163
White 152 152
Red 128 128

hole16

Pro Tip: This par three is one of the prettiest holes on the golf course. A narrow green, surrounded by bunkers, and water on the left, will unnerve the steadiest of players.

 Hole 17

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 7 4
Blue 418
White 385 385
Red 332 332

hole17

Pro Tip: The difficult seventeenth, with water on the left and trees on the right requires an accurate tee shot. Once you’ve hit the fairway, the fun has just begun. This green is well protected by a bunker on the left, and it is very difficult to read your putts once you arrive at the green.

 Hole 18

man woman
Par 4 4
HCP 15 12
Blue 327
White 310 310
Red 278 278

hole18

Pro Tip: Selkirk’s finishing hole looks easy until you reach the green. A 185 yd tee shot will leave you with approximately 120-130 yds to the green. Whatever the play, do not leave your next shot above the hole, as this green is extremely sloped from back to front!
